“Okay so I downloaded your amazing theme the other week and I came to the realization that it does not include a link to the user's ask box anywhere... is there a way I would be able to fix that?”

It should automatically show up in the header if you enable Ask in the theme options. I believe it’s under Blog Settings. Just check the box that says something like “Let users ask me questions” Submit works the same way. If you check out http://bonefingatheme.tumblr.com/ you can see the ask button at the top of the page.
